Dearest Gentle Tea Drinker,

The season of thawing gardens, scandalous whispers, and dramatically meaningful glances across the tea table has arrived. In honor of spring (and with a knowing nod to society’s most perceptive matriarch) we present a drink worthy of the ton: Lady Bridgerton Iced Tea.

Inspired by Violet Bridgerton’s iconic S4 declaration, “I’m the tea you’ll be having,” this elegant iced tea features Snowy Owl Tea’s delicately floral Ultraviolet blend and a touch of violet syrup to sweeten the cup—an homage to Violet Bridgerton herself—resulting in a drink that is equal parts refined, refreshing, and a little indulgent.

Perfect for porch lounging, garden gossip, or dramatically contemplating the latest social intrigue.

The Lady Bridgerton

A spring iced tea featuring Ultraviolet, bright botanicals, and a touch of violet syrup sweetness.

Spring is the perfect excuse to linger longer over tea—especially one as enchanting as this. Whether you brew it traditionally indoors or lazily in the sunshine, Lady Bridgerton is a reminder that sometimes the most elegant response to life’s chaos is simply a beautiful glass of tea.

After all, in matters of refreshment and refinement…she is the tea you’ll be having. 🫖✨

Flavor Profile:

Floral • Lightly Herbal • Subtly Sweet • Refreshing

Ingredients

  • 2 tsp. Snowy Owl Tea's Ultraviolet blend

  • 8 oz. hot water

  • 1/2–1 oz. violet syrup (to taste)

  • Ice

  • Suggested Garnishes:
    • Squeezed lemon (to activate butterfly pea in the Ultraviolet tea creating the purple color); and
    • Edible flowers if you’re feeling particularly aristocratic.

Method 1: Brew Hot, Then Chill (The Hyacinth/Proper Recital Approach)

  1. Bring water to a boil.

  2. Add Ultraviolet tea to an infuser or teapot.

  3. Pour 8 oz. boiling water over the leaves. Steep 5–7 minutes.

  4. Remove the tea leaves and stir in violet syrup while the tea is still warm.

  5. Allow the tea to cool slightly, then pour over a glass filled with ice.

  6. Sip slowly while making polite—but devastating—observations about society.

Method 2: Sun Tea (The Eloise/'Lazy Tea' Method)

For those warm spring afternoons when effort feels unnecessary. This method produces a softer, gentler brew—perfect for slow afternoons and garden plotting.

  1. Add Ultraviolet tea to a quart-sized glass jar.

  2. Fill with cold filtered water.

  3. Cover and place the jar in a sunny spot for 2–3 hours, or in the refrigerator overnight.

  4. Strain the tea leaves.

  5. Stir in violet syrup to taste.

  6. Chill and serve over ice.

Serving Suggestions

  • Serve in vintage teacups or coupe glasses for full Regency drama.

  • Add sparkling water for a lightly fizzy garden spritz.

  • Pair with shortbread, lemon cake, or berry tarts.
